Hi, friends! Remember how I decided to read The Satanic Verses this fall? I’m actually reading it. This effort has been at least ten years in the making.

It occurred to me that sharing the task would make it more fun and deeper. If you’d like to join me as I read through the book, could you drop a comment? Raise your hand high! It’s okay to join the club and not actually read, or read intermittently, or not always understand what’s going on. That’s why we have each other.

Let’s set a date: in one week (November 4, 2022), we could talk about Part One: Chapter 1. It’s a great chapter opening with the most vivid image of the book: two men falling from the sky.
